Got a little girl? Does that little girl love her long hair?
I don’t know how many times I threated to go and get her hair chopped off after a fit that was thrown while I am trying to brush that long hair. Rats and knots are constantly in my little C’s hair- we joke that the rat’s are having a party in there!
Well, I recently found a product to make our hair brushing time a bit easier.
The KNOT GENIE
This no handled brush has bristles at different lengths (this being the magic of the Knot Genie). I have tried it on my daughter’s hair both wet and dry. I am telling you, she has more knots in her hair than any other little girl I have seen. Which leads to a lot of screaming, crying and fussing to get her hair brushed. But, it is beautiful once I get the brush through it!
So, what did we think of the Knot Genie?
It worked FABULOUS right out of the shower/bath. No pulling or tugging (we also use conditioner). No other brush has slid through her wet hair quite like this one.
What about when her hair is dry, you ask?? Well, it did tug and pull a little (but like I said…you look at her hair wrong and it knots!). So, we followed advise from the Knot Genie website and brushed the hair in sections. This really helped and now it only get snagged on the serious, down and dirty knots.
The Bottom Line
The Knot Genie is better than any other brush we have come across. It is the ONLY brush she allows me to use on her hair. Does it work perfectly on her thin and stringing hair? Not all the time. BUT, I am extremely grateful we found this brush. Hair brushing time has been SOOO much better since we got the Knot Genie!
