…Chic Teacher Tuesday…

Hey, y’all!  My friend Rebecca {from Darlin’ in First} and I decided to collaborate on a little weekly feature called Chic Teacher Tuesday, where we spotlight a few chic – and often cheap – teacher outfits!  Rebecca is so super cute and I know you’ll love her!  We’re in the same Life Group at church, and have become good friends over the past year.  Go check out her post HERE.As I’m sure most of you know, I LOVE thrifted and/or cheap clothes.  I have fun hunting pieces down in thrift stores, outlets, department stores, or getting a great bargain with coupons or discount codes. Oh, wait.  First you must make a vow not to judge my awkward self-portraits.  Thank you.This striped number is from an outlet called Burke’s.  It was $12.99.  This darling polka-dotted dress is from Old Navy!  I know, stop the world, right?!  I’ve been super impressed with Old Navy’s selection lately.  The dress was $29.94 and comes in 2 other colors.  The best part?  Old Navy is *always* having online and in-store sales.  Check out retailmenot.com to search for the latest coupons and codes!And, while we’re on the topic of Old Navy, I recently purchased this striped dress from them. {FYI, intially typed “strip” dress there.  Wonder what kind of blog clientelle that would’ve attracted!  Ah!}  It’s paired with a 2-year-old sweater from The Loft Outlet.  Looking back, I kind of look like a frumpopotamus here.  Whatevs.  Lastly, what I wore today, this great little tunic from TJMaxx for –wait for it – THREE DOLLARS!  Holla fo’ a dolla’!  {Yes, I totally watch Honey Boo Boo and I am NOT ashamed.}  I went through a period of life wear all I wore was leggings, so I’ve tried to stay away from them this year, but the front of this dress was just a little too short to go without them.  And, now, for the most stellar teacher chic tip I will give you all day: you MUST start following these three *AMAZING* sites for discount boutique deals (especially for jewelry and accessories!).  It’s like Groupon or Plum District for your fav Etsy sellers – they email you with the daily, ever-changing deals so you don’t miss out on your favorite J.Crew-inspired necklace for $14.99.  And, watch out, it is all kinds of addicting.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you!The turquoise bubble necklace that’s pictured above is currently on sale at Very Jane for $14.99.  Hurry, they only sell a limited quantity!www.veryjane.com {also, follow them on Facebook for daily deals and previews!}www.sassysteals.comwww.groopdealz.com Happy Chic Teacher Tuesday!  I’ll be back sometime this week to do a little Show and Tell RTI Style :){PS.  Don’t forget to check out Rebecca’s post over at Darlin’ in First!}
