Gosh, you all! I feel like such a disappointment! I am *not* pregnant. Sadsville. Maybe round three of Clomid will give me more than erratic emotions and nightly hot flashes! {Seriously, I might as well be menopausal! } Thanks for all your positive thinking, though. Keep those prayers coming!
So, as I said in this post, I accepted my fulltime first grade position back in May – with lots of reservations. I was coming down from such a rough year, and it just wasn’t in MY plan to work another year full time. {You know, that plan that God laughs at?} I ended the school year fully anticipating my return in August. And, while I love first grade – I mean, LOVE IT – I love Becks way, way, way more. Plus infinity more ways. So, when my new principal called the week after school ended and asked if I wanted a part time position, I jumped at the opportunity! Thus, I am thrilled to announce that I will be a reading interventionist in the fall! Yay!
Cue the womp, womp.
I know it’s not earth-shattering, but it was the best news I could’ve asked for this summer, and I really feel like God put so many things in place in our lives so that I could go back to being part time.
B and I packed up my room right before we left for Michigan, and it was sooooooo bittersweet! I mean, I usually spend a good, solid month getting ready for my firsties over the summer. But…I’m not going to lie…I’ve really enjoyed gaining that whole month back! I’m pretty sure the Dollar Spot misses me…
So, now, I get to decorate my office where I’ll be servicing students and pulling small groups. I promise that I start posting my décor ideas as soon as I get back in school mode. Right now, so not there yet :)
The second best news of the summer?
MY SCHOOL SWITCHED OVER TO COKE MACHINES. Praise. The. Lord. Do you know how many times I had to settle for a Diet Pepsi for an afternoon caffeine fix? Gag me! Combine this with the Dollar Diet Cokes at McDonald’s right now, and you know I’m a happy girl!
Anyway, summer has been so busy! Between vacations to Hilton Head and Glen Arbor, MI, I feel like it’s absolutely flown by!
I’ve also managed to kick out my latest pack on TpT – it’s called Spelling for All Seasons Part One and it’s a resource to use with spelling words, word work, or even letters. It’s 110 pages of seasonal fun, with craftivities to do from August to December (2 for each month). Each craftivity can be assembled following the completion of one of the eight differentiated activity sheets. Man, that sounds confusing! Just click the “Download Preview” button HERE to see what I mean :)
Here’s a little glimpse of the craftivities, though…
Good news! I’ve included this pack in my Christmas in July Sale on TpT! It’s regularly priced at 7 bucks, but you can pick it up on sale for $5.60 until July 26th at 11:59pm.
{Please note: due to TpT difficulties today, I’ve extended the sale on my seasonal items until 11:59pm on 7/26/11. Thanks for your patience!}
I still have lots more to catch up on, but I’ve learned not to make to many promises about my posting habits. I’ll be back soon(ish)!!!!
